Oh yeah! I was on top of that beautiful mountain with Jill Scott on Saturday
night.  (With good seats too :) ) All I can say is that was one of the best
live performances I have ever seen! 'Can I get a witness....?'  That woman
is extreamely talented and so real and she puts so much of her spirituality,
roots and passion in her performance and.  Anytime she comes to town, I will
be right there again to see her perform and I highly recommend it to all.

Directly after Jill's amazing concert, I headed to the Fais Do Do ballroom
for another genius at work, the one and only Gilles Peterson.  A rare treat
for us in L.A. For all of you who missed this night...well shame on you.  To
me, Gilles is like one of the Gods to all DJ's. Someone who other dj's
should look, study and learn from. He was up there spinning everything from
house to hip hop to latin-jazz and even breakbeats and he makes it all look
so easy and in the mean time the crowd was sweating and dancing non-stop.  I
left that place soaked form head to toe from all the dancing (plus it was
pretty hot), but I loved every minute of it.
All in all, that was an excellent and inspirational evening and I treated
myself well!
