[Dynagroove] "FRESH START!" - MONDAY, DECEMBER 31ST, 2001!

Just in case you were all wonderin' where NO-I-TU-LOVE has been this past few months (practically this whole past year, huh!?)...

We've been hibernating... reflecting on what the next step is... allowing God to come in and take over...

Heh... seriously... it's been a crazy year, as I think you all know.  Many of us have gone through lay-off's this year... in lieu of all the craziness going on lately in the world, some of us more than once... I know that a lot of people who are in the tech industry, who are also into our whole dance and love community, have taken some hits... it's been a very interesting and challenging time for all of us.

So, where does that leave us now?

Well... hopefully, stronger in a lot of ways... I mean a lesson learned is a mistake not repeated, right?

I think it's important that we all really absorb what's been going on in our lives, reflect apon those experiences, and learn from them.  I mean, we >ARE< definitely a celebratory type of crowd, a real lot of party animals, so to speak, but it's good to give ourselves some downtime, too.

I think it's also important to allow our minds to relax a little, too, because God has a plan for each and every one of us, and it's nice to know that regardless of our circumstances, that everything always seems to work out just the way it's supposed to and that we're never any challenge in life that we're not capable of handling as long as we realize that, in the end, we're not really the one's handle it...

This is kind of funny... because I had literally just planned on this being a quick plug for New Year's Eve, but it seems like every time I want to do that, I end up writing all this stuff... I love it, though... this whole community has definitely inspired me over the years... 

And not to be *THAT GUY*, but it's worth mentioning... we've been putting on parties since 1993 (some of you may remember the parties we used to do under than "Next Step" nomicker... maybe some of you remember Simple (1996), the first >AND< last all night party to ever be held at the Discovery Zone (for kids)... hahah... it's funny now, but we rented this place as an "all night sleepover" and brought in 3 different sound systems and about a thousand of our closest friends... they were pulling out condoms, candy, and all sorts of other unidentifiable objects from the little plastic playballs thing that the kids play in well until the next day... pretty much everybody got fired from that store and we were told that not one Discovery Zone in the entire country is now allowed to do the "sleep over" concept anymore.  

Now, while that's not exactly what I'd call *funny* at the time, because there was *NOTHING* funny about that experience... having to clean up the place before some kids birthday party that was coming in at 10am the next day... CAN YOU IMAGINE?!  It was completely psychotic... but THAT was a fucking party!  We had people drinking excessive amounts of this blue slurpee stuff and literally projectile vomiting blue juice (for lack of a better word) all over the bathrooms.  That shit was DISGUSTING!!!  But... still a fun night, in lieu of all of it.

And then, NO-I-TU-LOVE... the EGO LOSS - LOOSE YOUR SHIT - ENERGY RELEASE - UNIVERSALLY INSPIRED - DISCOFIEDFREAKFUNK - EXTRAVAGANZA... well... that's been fun, too... ;-) 

And all of this is still fun... I'm not even sure how that's possible... but it is... there's always an idea for the next party that's been sitting in the back of our heads somewhere that's begging for it's chance to be 'the one'... kind of like a factory of clubs yet to be made begging to get their chance to show you how they can make you shake it harder than the last.

So, without further adieu... I would like to mention at some point, THE point of this whole rambling...

We're having our FIFTH (that's right, FIFTH!) annual "FRESH START" New Year's Eve extravaganza... all of your favorite heads will (of course) be there... 

This year we're bringing it all full circle and back to basics, yet better than ever before, based upon previous learned experience... libations flowing all night... HEAPS OF FUN... and it's an all night disco boogie, come ready to burn right through the bottom of your shoes!

I hope you've got your New Year's best picked out and ready to go... because we're ready to do this!!!
