Hello fellow deep-house music lovers,

I just got through reading about an hour worth of emails. WOW, some of you
out there are pretty upset, and have every right to be. Let me first say
that I spoke to Miguel and he is down with Sacred Grounds. He suggested that
we forget L.A. and just take our LOVE FOR THE MUSIC to San Fransisco where
he will help us start a following there. He also said that this city is
cool, and has cool weather, but if people have to call the cops on you to
have a good party then this city sucks! I told him that L.A. is where I live
and L.A. is where my heart is. I'm not gonna let this party get me down, and
I'm sure my partners and friends feel the same way. We aren't gonna give up
either! So, to make a long story short. I've taken all your repremands,
"constructive criticizm" and suggestions from friends. Here is what I come
up with:

1) NEVER use the Palmeto location again!
Hire a fire-marshal, along with a off-duty cop.(not the same off duty cop
that was there that night either because he did jack shnit for us).
2) stick to small capacity parties(unless it's with Mark, Lil' Louie or some
one of that calibur).
3) continue doing shows! I almost let the fire inside me go out, but I'll
keep my head up high with pride and continue on.

This isn't my first time getting busted and I'm sure it will not be my last
time as long as there is a underground house movement. I will not give in to
the club scene and start doing club venues, unless they are willing to go
all night and not end at 2am or 4am. that to me isn't a underground party!
I'll let my collegues and friends do those events. Last before I go, just
remember this is the true underground and we will always have misfortunes
like this. When certain people/promoters have as much influence in the law
enforcement and fire department they will always player hate on the next
man. We'll just have to take it deeper into the underground! Peace, love,
respect and deep house for ever!

Peace,
Carlos
