O.kay,
This is the final reply to all the unsatisfied few who have bombarded us
with hatered, dislike, and plain disrespect. And also our supporters who we
love. Please pass this email to friends, strangers, family and aliens!
We have sorted out the details with Miguel Migs, Mark Farina and their
managers. Miguel is 100% confirmed for our make-up party that will happen on
Friday, May 11, 2001. He is such a cool head! He has nocked off a big
portion of his pay to help us out in our cause! As for Mark Farina, he is
still pending due to him leaving out of town at the moment. His manager is
going to foward an email and give a follow up call to us when she does speak
with him. If Mark cannot make it then we're going to have to go and do it
without him. (boohoo...I know it sucks, but that is all we can do) The venue
is still being sorted out at the moment but will be big enough to hold
around 800-1000 people. That is the max that we can get due to our budget we
are working with. The sound and lighting will be the same company. For one
of our members Andy V. is part of the BoomBoy family now. The flyers for
this FREE PARTY Will be out no later then next Wednesday. To give Mark some
time to get back to us. This is all we could do in the little time that we
have. I hope you all are satisfied with the final out come because believe
it or not we are.
Some of our close friends are pretty stoked that we even take the
concideration of doing a make-up party. We are doing it for the people and
most off, for the dj's. If you think you guys were let down. Imagine how
they feel. These guys love each others music and have never played in Los
Angeles together, and was looking foward to spinning. They were
broken-hearted to hear of our bust! Miguel is actually the one who informed
me of the break-up. He recieved a call before I did. Now, he was pretty
pissed that he had to be the barer of bad news. But, hey our heads are up
high and frowns turned upside down. Smile from ear to ear is what's on my
face;). Because I know that there are people dj's/ collegues and fellow
promoters out there who love us and support us still. So, a big thanks to
all of you and remember KEEP DEEP-HOUSE ALIVE! Don't give in to the
mainstream because as long as there is a Art Gallery, wherehouse, and any
other venue other then a club where my friends and strangers alike can
smoke, toke, and do whatever they please to make there experience that much
more special, then count on us to do what we do best. Thats bring the
deepdirtydowndiscofunkyhousethang to our beautiful city of Angels!
Peace, Love, Respect, and deep-house forever!
