more for the pile...
we threw a party on feb 3rd...
we worked for a month on a fantastic mural in one of the two rooms we were throwing in.
the crowd was awesome, we had some of the best dj's in LA play gratis and the party went fantastically... thank you.

but when the dust settled, we realized two bad things had happened:

1.) one of our friends that makes knit hats with ears on them had one hat stolen.. these take her 5+ hours to make for each hat! she helped throw the party and we told her to set up a hat stand to sell the hats, she did it and ended up getting one stolen! she found the price tag on the floor when we were cleaning up too!

2.) each room of the venue got tagged!!! the same tagger tagged the main room, the bathroom, the smoking area, as well as part of the mural and even the dance floor!!! that's just LAME! they even tagged the neighbor's fence outside the venue...

all i have to say is that if you go by "818M ii phallis" or "phallis 818mob" a conversation would be a better way to leave an impression on a crew than vandalizing... what you did and whoever the thief was, You disrespected the venue, the people that live there, the people that threw and worked hard on the party, and everyone who went to it, just so that you could satisfy your urge to leave your mark! that's just plain old fashioned rude.

i suggest that EVERYONE who reads this think twice about who they decide to bring underground with them and respect the fact that you are part of the scene and help create and move the scene in whichever direction you choose. please choose respect and keep it off the side of fronting airs and attitudes which just hurts the whole reason why we do it.

peace,
-o
