True to that Cade, but it's possible to have a low overhead if you make it
possible. I know no one likes to lose money, but some times you have to give
back in order to recieve. I know you guys do a weekly free club/bar but it's
not too much to ask to have a $10 party. If the venue is too expensive then
save it for the next time and find a cheaper one. There are medium size
venues out there for cheap you just have to look. Ask Eric Joiner he knows
of some venues that are in a good price range. At least thats what I was
told. Seriously there has been some good parties with great dj's that only
charged $10. We're only charging $10 at our next party with Jonene. We don't
expect to make all kinds of money but the point is to keep it consistant. I
think the people have spoken and they are feeling the pinch in their
pockets. Parties with local talent should in my opinion charge only $7-$10
max! Screw those expensive venues man, I know of some venues that are cheap,
I mean dirt cheap.

As for the F.A.M.I.L.Y. & DSOF party that just happened that is too bad for
them being shut down. I've been there (getting busted) more then one time
and I know what they are going through. But judging by their line-up they
had, (which was advertised on their flyer) they should of charged $10-$12.
And remember people, this is only my opinion...People are going to parties
to see friends and most importantly the DJ'S! I understand they put a lot of
extra effort in dressing up their parties but it doesn't cost 2000 dollars
for some spray paint, plastic and canvase. I doubt it even cost 800 dollars.
But the point is when using the same venue 3 weeks in a row come on now you
tell me if you were a paying party goer and you found out that this 20
dollar party was at the same venue you've been to 3 weeks in a row now.
Where these same promoters used and charged $15-$20 bucks. Would you
seriously pay $20 to get in knowing the line-up is what it was? Not that any
of those dj's are bad but most of them hardley play out, but they are our
local talent who we have to support. If I were behind that party I would of
charged no more then $15 bucks and that is pushing it. Enough babbling I
gotta run, but DSOF and F.A.M.I.L.Y. keep your heads up it happens to the
best of us. If you feel a make-up party is neccessary then do it. If not
then move on to the next venture and continue throwing your good vibe
parties. If we're not running the same night (like this past saturday) then
I'll be there! Like I was at the two before this one (fire&ice, and the
party with Miguel). You guys rock! Mr. Doug, keep it real as always brotha!
Marty...get at Andy V. Peace out fellas and have a good nights rest.

a few hundred cents,
