Actually this is a good point..  I don't mind talking about this on the
list at all.  Myself being a promter and fellow party goer I have been on
both sides of the fence.  As of recently I just started asking to get on
guest lists.  The few times that I have asked I was because the promoters
had asked to be on my guest list.  I normally never bring more then 1
person with me for the guest list and if I do I will normally have them
pay or get a group discount.  I have no problem returning the favor but
what I do have a problem with is when the number of these promoters is
like 8 people.  Then they all expect to get in free...  I wonder how it is
that I get myself +1 in their party and then they want me to let every one
of them in free?  8 people plus 1?  16 people in free?  Because they let
me and a friend in free?  2 does not equil 16 and I have gotten some
serious attitude because of this.  Another annoying thing is when some
little guy walks up and demand "Promoter Curtasy" and it is some party I
have never heard of nor would even promote at.  I am sorry if your a
promoter that I don't know or a party I don't know I am not going out of
my way for you.  The last dyangroove was really funny because I had some
guys show up that ran a certain webpage and they demanded list because "We
promoter your party all over the internet."  What a joke!!!  Funny I am on
the internet 8 - 10 a day 5 days a week and I never heard them say
anything about my party and I had even been on their webpage...
