well it shouldn't be necessary to shed light on who he is, but..... 

larry heard is a producer and dj from chicago.  he recorded some really
early house records on trax records as 'mr. fingers', and continues to
produce beautiful and unique music to this day.  he's been recording
since at least 1987 or 1988.

his most famous track is probably 'Can U Feel It", which is known for
both the instrumental version, the vocal with 'jack's house speech' (and
the very rare acapella of jack's house speech).

this speech will probably be familiar to most househeads (and certainly
a number of sections have been sampled in other tracks).

  "In the beginning, there was Jack, and Jack had a groove.
  And from this groove came the groove of all grooves.
  And while one day viciously throwing down on his box, Jack boldy
  declared,
