[Dynagroove] Weekend Review

Hey Everyone!

I'm up early this morning due to the fact I fell right asleep when I got 
home at 7:00PM last night. I'm still recovering from a very fun weekend.

Friday night at Free Thinking was fun and chill. I really enjoyed Cade's set 
with Brian playing live bass. I can't wait for him to jam out with me.  =)

Saturday night at Dynagroove was really fun. We arrived early with a very 
tired Heather. She played in Dallas the night before and was really tired. I 
really enjoyed her deep deep house for the first 2 hours and then as people 
started to show up she kicked it into that Chicago sound that I love so 
much. She really is a true inspiration to me and is great mentor. For those 
of you who came late, you missed out..she had the best set of the night. The 
sound was amazing the space was great...yes I agree it lacked ventilation 
and there was only 1 fan.(which I found and stood by all night) I was very 
uncomfortable up until about 2 then I decided to just sit and listen to the 
music and try not to dance to much since I was dehydrated. I know that Diz 
was really uncomfortable with heat and was having a hard time. He kept 
telling me he was hallucinating because of the heat. I still really enjoyed 
his set..I think my favorite thing about Diz is love for R&B. I'm a huge 
R&B/Hip hop listener...he always pulls out the little jams..did anyone hear 
that India Arie song he played...amazing!

We left around 5:30, I barely made it to my bed before passing out!

I got up around 1:00PM and headed over to Boardners for Sunday sets...it was 
chill and fun to see everyone super hung over and tired...
what better way to fix a hangover than to start drinking...(okay so I was a 
little tipsy by my last few records..sorry for the mixing!)

All in all I think that it was a great weekend, it was great to get out and 
see everyone and hear some good music.

Hope to see you all at Tropical on Saturday to hear Johnny Fiasco!
