a sad day. it's really f'd up what happened... hopefully, the party or
parties responsible will be brought to justice in the near future. here's a
segment of a little something i put together for the magazine i work for. it
contains a bunch of informative links.

be well.

In times of crisis and emergency, there is often a tremendous flux of mixed
feelings and emotions. Many of us are hurt by the incidents and are
wondering who is responsible for this horrendous act; many fear what may
come in the future, but the survivors, friends, families and relatives of
the victims feel the deepest pain of all.

There are things we can do to help, in the least, including donating blood
and funds to emergency relief organizations, no matter how far away we are
or how uninvolved we may be.

The American Red Cross is mobilizing blood supplies, currently at an
all-time low, to meet the needs of this disaster. To find out how you can
help, visit www.redcross.org, or call 1-800-HELP NOW (1-800-435-7669). Also,
visit the Salvation Army's site at www.salvationarmyusa.com.

For full coverage of the disaster, visit MSNBC News (www.msnbc.com), CNN
News (www.cnn.com), the Associated Press (www.ap.org), or Reuters
(www.reuters.com). Also, visit Pride Real Estate Professionals
(www.priderealestate.org/terrorism.htm), whose NYC headquarters are located
within one mile from the scene of the collapse of the World Trade Center,
for live photos and informational links regarding this incident.

Friends and family members of American Airlines passengers who are seeking
information should call 1-800-245-0999 or visit their website at
www.americanairlines.com. For United Airlines, call 1-800-932-8555 or go to
www.united.com. Morgan Stanley, the largest tenant in the World Trade
Center, established an emergency contact number for employees and their
families: 1-888-883-4391.
