There are many styles of house music that Chicago h
ouse DJs spin. To have disdain for a certain "speed" of
house music (or any music for that matter) does not
equate one with having a closed mind. It simply means
that one does not like to dance to fast music, or
perhaps one couldn't keep up with fast music going past
4am on the given night.

I know it's probably difficult for you to
understand that after one has been going out for a long
time that sometimes people begin to get a little nit-
picky about what music just does it for them (like
myself), but that's just simply the case for me. It
doesn't matter who it is (I don't know what DJ it is
that you currently worship above all other DJs - but
imagine even your favorite DJ) -- when the BPMs start to
get too heavy, without a little DYNAMIC programming it
gets to be a bit monotonous, no matter who it is
throwing down. I think that the truly gifted DJ
understands this and brings you up and down to allow
your heart a minute to catch up with the lack of oxygen
to your brain and then brings you right back up again
and takes you on a journey.
For one to say that they did not "feel" his set
because it stayed at heavy BPMs too long for their taste
does not show a closed mind, but perhaps a more refined
taste in the sounds that move them.

house beyond deep house???
Yes. Have you ever considered that one can have an
opinion beyond your own?
And, by the way, had you read my entire message,
you would've seen that I said I had a great time, so
bleah.
