This reply is not aimed at Buddha or anyone in particular.

I wrote the original post so here's my .02 on the whole review thing..
you're gonna hear good, you're gonna hear bad. That's why it's a review.
Everyone has opinions and there's nothing anyone can do about that. So
really, would you rather hear nothing at all about a party and party on
with your merry self or would you like to hear some valid opinions about
how people feel about a party? That's one of the major benefits of being
on a list like this; it gives everyone an opportunity to voice their
opinion. So yeah, I though DC played too fast for 4am, and I mentioned
in my email that it was just my personal musical preference. Press
writing is supposed to be as objective as possible and not form biases
or judgments, and I could do a better job of that.. I'll try to make my
next review as objective as possible without bias. Saying that DC played
to fast at 4am is somewhat subjective because it depends on what the
particular person wants to hear, but I thought it was worth mentioning
in my review of the party. Plus anyway this sort of discussion is what
inspires me, and I'm sure most, to be careful with words. The second I
hear something like "That party was shit" without rationalization or
explanation, that's when I start to question someone's credibility as a
reviewer. But if someone says I though the music was too fast for 4am,
then well that's understandable isn't it? And no I wasn't planning on
going to a mellow party, I knew it would be hype, just not that hype.. I
guess I'm just getting older and can't keep up with the faster tempos.

On a different Note.

I thought I would share with you all some really dope house
sets that I've been checkin' in the rescent past (no affiliation to
VinylTribe):

http://www.housemusic.net/Featured_DJ's/djouter.ram (That's dj Outer
from the Open Minds.. very impressive, local talent)

Then there's this site that had very nice mixes on it.. Zack Hill
recommended this to me and I think it's worthwhile to share w/ y'all:

http://silvernetwork.above-the.net/main.htm (There's a section called
"In the Mix".. very dope. I like Jef K's set the most but they're all
descent <--Opinion)

Peace out fellow house heads.

I know that there are a lot of DJ's trying to come up into the HOUSE
scene. So yeah I think I find it to be necessary to be critical about
DJ's. But you can't be too critical of a DJ that happens to be one of
the greatest DJ's in the realm of HOUSE. DC is a legend, a dj that
many aspiring DJ's would someday would like to be.

Whoever was thinking of going to something mellow that night, I think
you were at thw wrong party. Put Doc, Luke, and DC in the same room,
expect nothing but hard funkin beats.

DC rocked it that night, and so did Luke and so did Doc, and anyone who
finds that less than great needs to get their head checked. Then again
that's just my opinion.
