Hey all, been a good while getting rested after last week's outstanding
turnout at GRAVITY...all the music that night was incredible and it was
awesome seeing everyone have so much fun. Thanks to all of you who came out
to party with us...man, there will have to be a return in the near future.
Just can't get enough of that Mark E. Quark. Thanks to David Quick and
Theory for all of their undying support and help, and sweat and tears and
enough of that whimpering...
So it seems there is a lot of action coming to l.a. weeklies this summer's
end, and we are all very grateful for the selection...this week (tonight,
rather) at electric we are takin' it mellow and bringing in some fresh
Florida action for you all to taste. Very deep, smooth house to match our
chill midweek moods.
Our guests inside this week will be:
John Jung and Jordan Long both from Sex Records in Florida. These guys are
going to quickly acclimate to the LA scene, but for now, it's very
refreshing to hear a variation on the music that we all love. I always love
knowing that not only does a DJ enjoy playing the tracks that make ya
bounce, but also is a dancer, and I haven't been on a dancefloor recently
where I haven't bumped shoulders with one of these two guys...come out and
experience the newness.
On our patio we have a special organic live drum and bass set by Alder
(cerebral integrations) and as always, our resident downtempo technician, DJ
THEORY (open minds)
Admission to electric is a cool $5 all night tonight, and if you mention
this list, you get in for $3...so speak up, people.
You must be 18+ to enter, full bar for the lucky 21+ crowd w/ id.
Electric is held at the fabulous Studio 56 (7000 Santa Monica Blvd. @
orange, one block w. of highland)
Come dance.
Us at electric.
