ummmm... "Thanks to everyone who came out last night to the James Curd party @ Monte Cristo!"???  really?  i guess i was expecting some kind of apology or at least expanation for why the party ended (violently) over an hour early...?

true the crowd was small, but those that did come support you paid for a party that was supposed to go till 2.  a friend i had recommended come out last night showed up at 12:30, was not told that the night was ending early (and there has already been last call), and then paid $10 or $15 to get in for 20 minutes of a party!!!!  around 12:50 the lights come on, there was no explanation from anyone, just a bunch of asshole security guards yelling "get the fuck out!"  --  one guard shoved some girl and accidently smacked another girl in the face and when i stepped in front of her 3 other guards with mag lights raised came at me shoving and saying "you can leave walking or you can get shoved down the stairs, it dont matter to us, just get the fuck out".  So Brian and ilovehousemusic crew, where were you at that point?  if the party had to end early, you should have told people coming in (DUH!!!!! just blatently ripping peeps off!!),  and when the lights came on said something like "Sorry guys, but we cant afford to stay open till 2 with this size crowd, thank you all for coming though" (or whatever the reason was) so everyone who actually did come support you didnt leave with a rancid taste in their mouth.  

i assume the security came with the club, so i would recommend to everyone to never EVER go to the Monte Cristo club on willshire, which is somewhat unfortunate because the club itself was cool (except for the poor speaker placement that blocked the DJ from the dancefloor) -- but no venue is worth the horrible vibes from the end of the night last night.

(and i was so excited to see james curd)
