[Dynagroove] Sneak (fwd)

well, my opinion is..............I've never heard Sneak play a progressive
set in my life...And I've seen him play everywhere from amsterdam to london
to san diego and I've never heard a progressive set....He's been known to
turn up the bpm's everyonce in awhile but progressive???? That's crazy!!
Sneak is one of the sickest mixing djs around and every dj will tell you
that...And his music selection is usually impeccable........I was personally
really looking forward to melodic because I know sneak was really geared up
for the show and he was bringing some deep funky shit..it would have been
sick..I guarantee it...
you want to know what is whack? Whack is when you are a dj and that is your
job....You get booked on a date and you expect to get paid...Or at the very
least, get paid a deposit...When you dont get a deposit and know you are not
working on that weekend.........THAT IS WHACK!!......When a promoter makes a
booking, his word is on the line...So, when a dj doesn't get paid, it makes
all of us promoters look bad...Especially because L.A is known for that kind
of shit...If the promoter screwed up by not getting something done....He
should still uphold his side of the bargain....
Now, I love alvaro and I attend everyone of his parties....But, a dj not
getting paid is whack and it screws with my business indirectly...It's too
bad you dont see that....Obviously you have your tastes for music and other
people like other different kinds of music....But, dont talk shit when you
dont know what you are talking about.....
It's really too bad....I thought the party was going to be off the hook....I
am very disappointed....I was waitiing along time for this.;...

p.s why are you puzzled Sneak is playing at something promoted on
dynagroove.....did you only want to hear about music that puts you to sleep?

Once I saw the email that sneak would be playing
melodic (or any dynagroove type event for that matter)
I was puzzled.  Nothing against sneak or anything
(actually everything aganst sneak) but I feel that the
event would have been just fine w/the agency, J-dub, &
some local hero like, let's say Jamie Thinnes.  I will
however admit that once in a while sneak will have a
hot new track & display some solid mixing skills, but
as soon as he's started playing progressive sets (i.e.
@ 'smoke out') I began to lose respect for him as an
artist.

As for melodic, they've thrown enough events to prove
that they are not 'wack' promoters.  Even if it is all
their fault I'm fine w/this type of "fuck up".  It has
cost me $0 dollars.

p.s.  Being that b3 does a lot of work w/sneak, I
would like to hear brett's opinion on this matter.
