Hey all, thanks for coming out this past weekend and checking out our lil
shin dig w/ KOT. It was a fun and very interesting night to say the least.
The location, Hollywood Playhouse, formerly the Richard Pryor Theater was
just sick. Place has a lot of history, and definitely mad for a dope vibe.
It's pretty cool when you can stand at the back of room and look down on a
DJ. There was also a huge avocado chill patio, and an upstairs VIP area,
which all just added to the total ambiance and movement of the party.
Everything flowed nice, especially our DJ's for the evening. Starting off w/
Ruben Medellin, whom deserves a better spot than opening but when booked w/ 2
headliners what can you do. Anyhow he still rocked it and didn't hold back.
I'll throw his set up on the website. Next up was Jordan, and I'm telling you
this kid is going places. Very technical, smooth, and great program! This set
goes in my private collection. j/k... K.O.T was up next, starting off w/ Matt
Mau. Matt is an incredible DJ, he played real pumpy and melodic, very
different from what I'm used too, but had me moving the whole time. (It was
great, his girl friend asked, why are people facing him and dancing, and some
other peeps just standing in front staring. Told her that's how we do it in
LA.) Matt had every one in a "trance" and they were just going nuts as he
just dropped dope track after dope track. And if that was not hot enough,
Sandy Riviera came up took over, and said here you go LA! Take this and take
that, the guy did not hold back working 3 decks and 2 cd players. Matt and
Sandy are a really hot combination, the music was flawless and defiantly
educating! If you missed it (kick yourself in the *^*, j/k), no worries they
are coming back real soon...

the water main you all heard about on sunset, was actualy one block from us
and they closed the part of sunset down that we were on. kind of making it
harder for people to get to us, but they still made it in some how. ankles
wet and all...

-thanks
