well, i have to say that that was one f'n partay.
i was dizzy with trying to keep up with who was who and in what room and
seeing tons upon tons of friendly faces...some that i think i must not have
seen since last year even. the bloom room was awesome...(nice paper
lanterns...hehe.)
despite the sound issues in the room our equipment was in (fuses poppin like
beat street)
and the needle problems in the main deal, the night went off w/o a
hitch...midnight snuck right up on me and i pirated some champagne for the
kids in the hall. cheers.
nine o clock in the morning was just a blink away and we packed up our
cabinets and tiptoed past a pair of sweetly sleeping rythym junkies and into
the sunshine of the first day of 2002.
if this year is anything like monday night then we got us a live one
here....
HUGE THANK YOUS to doug and marty and jyhmn and steve and all of you others
that made this night rock....the line up could not have reflected los
angeles any more precisely...great seeing fester and zack hill tag team
early on in the night (and i'm so in love love love) set the rythym for a
truly incredible evening....simply wonderful getting to see our local talent
getting the recognition and praise they so rightly deserve...once
again...thanks for that line up f.a.m.i.l.y. and no-i-tu-love.
keep on rockin' in a free world, party people of los angeles.
happy f'n new year.
