well, not to be the negative nancy, but my friends and I had a pretty bad 
time at fresh start!

let me start off by saying that I have been down w/ no-i-to-love since 
close to the beginning and I in no way mean this as a personal jab towards 
jyhmn or the no-i-to love crew as a whole. furthermore I still think 
no-i-to-love parties are the shit. But Ive had bad luck with newyears 
parties in general and unfortunatly this year was no different.

ok, with that out of the way :) I cant BELIEVE nobody who went has 
mensioned how unbearably hot (and humid) it was. Am I getting too old for 
this? I dont think so. I only saw one or two fans. the place was 
uncomfortably packed. the music we heard was pretty uninspiring to say the 
least although it did pick up as we were leaving, and the breaks room 
(where we spent the majority of our less than two hours there) was pretty 
ok, but still HOT as hell. Also the sound system was ass. highs were way 
too loud, lows barely there. placement was all wrong. Thank god I had me plugs.

the vibe was not there. it didnt seem like anyone was having a good time. I 
recognized almost no one. right as we got there, and the 'ball was 
dropping' we were standing right in front of jhym's cage. right as the 
clock strikes this guy behind us starts SCREAMING and I mean screaming, at 
this poor girl.. fuck you, fuck this, you fucking bitch, etyc. etc. etc. 
What was really off putting was that he appeared to be part of the 
promotional crew as he was standing behind the barrier where the crew were. 
I wonder what it was that made this guy SO incredibly angry as too start 
flipping out RIGHT as the new year was coming.. but I must say that was a 
little bit of a downer for me! Im trying to kinda get lost in the moment 
and this guy behind me is flipping out sounding like hes going to stab this 
girl in the face.

so 30 bucks and an hour and a half later we split. anyone who had a good 
time was probablly one of the uber-cool who got in for free and hung out in 
the 'vip room' with the KEGS >:(

all Im sayin is, for the whopping sum of 30 bucks, I expect more in every 
arena. more fans, more out of town DJs (were there any?san francisco DOESNT 
COUNT) more and better sound, better bar - even if theres just water folkx, 
COME ON it took us 30 minutes to get a fucking bottle of water!!

anyways, not what I usually expect from the jyhmn people.
