Last weekend I was lucky to be in Los Angeles to see some of my favorite DJ's
play, Julius Papp and Mauricio Aviles. When I first got there, I think it was
DJ lou and another guy playing bass were playing. Cool set and nice touch!
We need to see more events with live instruments everywhere. Next was Pete
Moss which played an OK set. Some of the records he played were a little too
techy for me. I took a break. Julius then got on the wheels and made my day.
He was playing the shit. Cool vocals, fat basslines, percussion, a couple of
jazzy tunes to pump the crowd up and some dubs. Much props to Julius, that
boy knows how to get a crowd in sheer kaos. Mauricio finally got on. I heard
this guy play at San Francisco's Scuba and Shelter In N.Y. This boy tears it
up. Sweet ass vocals. I think he a was bit nervous at first but then got my
ass going again. Very Naked! Hope to check out L.A. again soon.

con amor,
