Bassland Follow-Up

Well, I've been slacking a little bit lately! Sorry for the late
follow-up for Bassland, but it's been a busy week! I will get the
pics up soon (the computer's been acting goofy).

It was a very interesting night, to say the least. The night started
off with a few technical difficulties (sequencer and keyboard
problems) and Jesse, one of their guitar players, couldn't get in
because she was under 21 (sorry!!). However, with all of these
problems, Bassland (basslandgroup at yahoo.com) was still un-phased and
made do with what they had available. When they got into their jam,
I would have never noticed there was a problem. They showed some
great versatility and the ability to overcome the problems that were
presented to them. This is an exceptional value when you have a live
group that's as technical and involves the number of people as
theirs.

In regards to their songs, it was really a pleasure to watch Bassland
perform. The lead singer and keyboardist, Alex, was dancing around
while singin' some cool lyrics. Stu and Makato provided their tight
grooves and guitar rhythms respectively and Brooke rounded out the
group with her violin to give Bassland a very unique and catchy
sound. They are very good musicians, playing housey tunes which
melted into a dope break-beat set. It was definitely a fun night.

After Bassland finished their grooves, Spirit from Our House took
over from where they left off and kept the energy up all the way
through to the end of the night. She played some awesome house tunes
that kept the night going strong and I am really happy that she
cruised out for the evening. If you didn't already know it was
Spirit and Alex that brought all of you "Our House" in Costa Mesa, an
excellent Tuesday night weekly that used to shake it down in OC.

IMPORTANT: Please take a chance to visit any links listed above. I'd
like to help support the people mentioned above as much as possible
because they were nice enough to volunteer their efforts so all of
you could have a free party to go to. It's through this kind of
dedication and support that will keep Soul-Titanium free and
long-lived.

I will also be posting another email very soon with info about our
next special guest. If you have any questions or comments, or if
you'd like to come spin at Soul-Titanium, please do not hesitate to
send an email to soultitanium at yahoo.com
