[Dynagroove] Weekend review...

Well, this weekend was a busy one....

Friday: Friday night was really fun! I had to open @ Local Cats. I came on about 10:00 and played till 11:00. Not too many peeps in the house, but my friends came out and got their boogie on. Sergio came on after myself and played a pretty hard, considering that there was only a handful of people in the house. Aztech Sol came on and played a great set. Lots of new jammies and a couple old one hashed in. He played to a pretty cool sized crowd and really worked those kids. Soul came on after him and played a solid set. Finally, JC came on and closed the night out. All in all, the night was pretty cool. The Local Cats parties are picking up a little steam and it just seams like the next one can only be better.

Saturday:

Frank Lara and I headed out to check out Damitri from Paris and Little Chris. We walked in and Chris was playing some cool tracks. I always like checking out Chris. He gets better and better every time I see him. Damitri came on about midnight and crowd was set up nicely and welcomed him w/ lots of cheers. He rocked lots of cool old disco tracks and many new tracks! I left early though cuz the sound was crappy and the crowd was filled w/ lots of Hollywood locals. 

Sunday:

All I gotta say is... DJ Yellow is the Don!! I was bummed when he could not make it out last year, but it was well worth the wait. First off.. We opened about 6:30. oops.... I know! I know! We were supposed to open @ 5:00, but technical problems prevented that. Once it got going, we slowly started to fill up. Marques always opens up really nice. King came on about 8:30 and started rocking it from the begining. Yellow came on after and continued the trend. Africanism is one of my( if not my fav) labels. His mixing was seamless and track selection was great. I could not ask for a better birthday present( well maybe couple other things, but we won't talk about that). Marques came back on again about 1:30 and closed the night out great. 

Well that's my review of my weekends festivities. I am playing @ Swank w/ Wally and Coco on wednesday, so come check it.
