True dat! Aside from tha woodley park action, i remember a couple hansen damn thangs.. the gift (the one on tha big grass lawn at pepperdine right by tha beach was pretty dope), and a few others.. as all being some memorable times.. and coincidentally.. they were the times that I remember actually going out only to come back with no complaints, no drama, and a giant grin on my face.. very rare is it unfortunatly that a quality party is thrown anymore, let alone, a dayparty..But we all hear this schpiel all tha time.. yer right J.. and it would b great to see more action, less whining.. more funk, less junk..

H18 will have your full support if you need help in whipping something together. I've been trying to get something organized for quite some time now, but am soooo lacking tha funds necessary its a joke. But membahz of tha krew have expressed a need for similar proceedings, and even offered up sound systems, lighting, and a buncha other helpfull stuff. Summa dem are on this list too.. so you guys know what im talkin about..

Colab's are an even more rare occurence in tha scene these days..

..free day parties even more rare.. So there must be something extra speshul that goes into actually getting one to happen.. and i think alot of you guys, as well as others are realizing what it exponentially. Many of you have known it for a long time.. and are fuckin sick of hearin tha word. So sick of it that it may have lost its orig meaning in yer eyes.. i dunno.. But its prolly said differently by alot of us- yet means tha same thing.. Its 'vibe', 'feelin', 'energy', or whatever you wanna say to describe tha balance of life and tha harmony created by beautiful music, and beautiful people, all dancin in syncapation to a beat not far off from ones own heartbeat.. under tha sunshine, we're gettin all tha energy we get when partyin' at night, and then some.. (plus you can see who your talkin to.. remember them, see em again.. actually develope *relationships* with who you meet, as opposed to making them yet another club/rave acquaintance).

so i gess wut im sayin is.. 'i miss dat shit too.. les doo dis shit.. '

Dude... I haven't been to a Sunset party since 1996... I didn't even know that they were still going on... that's fucking rad... to me, it's the pinnacle of everything that I love about going out... awesome "daytime" house dancing on the bay by the water, with the sun out all the way through to sunset with super amazing people. That shit rules.

We've had moments of that in LA throughout the years... we definitely had that one summer with our Venice Beach parties back in '95-'96, and that was very signature L.A. with the dancing in the pit with all the grafitti over there that's recently been torn down since the Venice Beach "facelift"... we had the summer "picnics in the park" in San Diego for a quite a while from '93-???... and then most recently the summer "Give Thanks" parites and some day time downtown things over the years... but we really lack a good "day time" free gathering thing that goes on regular like in the good 'ol outdoors.

I definitely would like to do a little research on some of the permitting processes for some of the parks/beaches in the LA Westside areas... I know that with how mainstream our music has become, not everybody is looking at "house" music as that "raver shit" anymore... we can almost sell it as disco since all the people in power positions these days probably went through that whole movement when we were in the process of conception of perhaps just wee little brats.

Anyway, blah blah... just kind of thinking out loud, however, even if this Dynagroove list thing doesn't happen by the beach, anybody who's interested in getting something going and has some leads/places to start our search, perhaps email me and let's see what we can come up with as far as doing at least one beach party this summer... I think it'd be fun and good to set up the groundwork perhaps for a series of free daytime parties next summer. Whadday think?

I'm sure with all of our resources on this list, we can get a bunch of us together to throw egos aside, and just do something to serve each other.
