[Dynagroove] DJ Harvey..? SF sat nite?

Harvey has always been one of my favorites. He is the most expressive DJ
i've ever seen in regard to using volume and EQ's, his track selection is
ecclectic as can be, yet always deserving of the trainspotters that don't
move for 3 hours while he plays, especially when it is a track he produced
(he's off the hook for production); the last couple times I've seen him or
heard reviews of his recent performances, however, he definetely doesn't seem
up to par (except for Little Chris's birthday party a month or so ago). Part
of what sets Harvey apart is that he really doesn't give a f*&k about what
people want to hear--he does, and always has done his own thing, mixing
highly sought after disco-reedits with the meanest of London Warehouse
beats. I guess there comes a point at which being too far in left field
makes it impossible for one to play ball. He is loved and regarded as a
legend even by those of the WIcked Crew, and it is curious that he is not
meeting the standards of dancefloor and disco madness that he is renoun for.
Does anyone else have any opinions on the matter, as mine is limited in
scope, and I am interested in hearing alternative views.....
