[Dynagroove] Tempo debate

Tempo last night was off the hook. surprisingly there was a good size line
to even get in. The dance floor was packed with people dancin hard and
shouting for the mix. That has got to be kinda cool for a TUESDAY in OC. The
music was great, i heard some house hits but i also heard some amazing new
music from HERBERT and RECLOOSE.

This is something I read on another message board by someone named
"dubwise". This is the kind of atitude we need.

So why not better the situation by tolerating the little things & hope that
it builds itself a decent scene instead of everytime you go out in OC
expecting LA? How exactly did you help OC's situation by writing that
review? I'm not dissing you Jennie I totally feel ya on the vibe part. If I
walk into a club & it feels like Boogie in Anaheim I feel uncomfortable
(unless I'm really really drunk like 1 time I went to Boogie). It's just not
my scene. But you've got to understand that OC ain't gonna be on the same
level. It's gonna take time... baby steps, baby steps

Here are some heads attemping to put something, anything on in South OC
cause they want to better the scene there & because it's not as cool a crowd
as a Dynagroove it sucks. You have to crawl before you walk. In OC there
ain't much of a scene to build on there. So if girls show up dressed like
Brittney instead of a Househead so be it. That big Househead crowd isn't
there.

The LA promoters that we've all grown to love & respect have the advantage
of preaching to the converted. In other words there scene was there when
they started. They inherited what others had done years ago, hell even more
than a decade ago. Anyone throwing stuff in OC especially south OC on a
Tuesday is gonna fight an uphill battle. The fact that they're taking on
this battle is very cool IMHO. They know they're not gonna get the LA crowd,
they know there isn't a big scene there for them.

David & I met some girl last nite @ Electric from Riverside that throws
Funky House events out there (she's got a Wednesday weekly coming up soon
it'll be on the Dynagroove list). She threw a one off & was shocked at how
big a response she got. To me doing shit like that where no one has gone
before & doing it sucessfully is awesome. That's how this culture is gonna
grow & develop not by making everyone drive to LA week in & week out.

Oh yeah & I bet if they played Sublime instead of the The Clash you'd be
stoked

I still luv ya Jennie poo
