[Dynagroove] THURS ROCKS!!!! or: Where da #!@% you at????

Happy friday everyone!  Woo-ha!

In the continuing quest to gather nice people from every corner of LA, I did a bit of party hopping last night and came to two conclusions:

1)  DAMN THURS NIGHTS GO OFF NOW!!!  I feel like it was just last week that I couldnt find anything to do on Thurs, and last night I found myself being peeled away from everywhere I "stopped to check out"!  I followed the sweet smell of funky music and split most of my time between the Kiwi party (yummmm) and the Honey party (yummmmm).  For the Kiwi party, I had no expectations, so I was blown away when I walked into a stunning venue -- tall ceilings, brick walls, stylie bar -- and was hit my some solid funky/bangin house music by dj wonderbread.  The music only got better when twentytwelve joined him on stage to scratch and loop effects over the beats!  Of course, great music cant make a party without the crowd, and the fact that I met *tons* of nice people as I danced my way around the club (including my long-lost-soul-sista!! nice to see you again!!) just sealed the deal.  But as I mentioned I was dragged away from that party kicking and screaming and headed to Honey.  Now I had some high expectations for Honey, especially since I had just left a very sweet party, but once again I was blown away when I walked in.  To me, Arena feels like a big theme park, and last night it was a big theme park opened just for me and my chosen family with crazy fun decorations, really good bangin house music (it was harder than the usual Honey theme, but I like good music and good mixing, and the dj had everyone dancing their arse off!), and once again more nice people that I couldnt wait to meet.  Seriously, we better keep these great vibe parties underground or LA is going to lose its rep as the harder meaner half of california!!  ;)  

Which brings me to my second conclusion...

2)  Everyone in the house scene must have gotten the flu or had a test today or had their mother-in-laws in town, cause you sure weren't out dancing!!!!  The Kiwi party was at a small venue and it was half full, and Honey had a big venue and was also half full....  but I REALLY THINK THAT WE CAN DO BETTER THAN THAT!  :)~  Los Angeles is one of the biggest metros in the world, right?  Gotta be more party peeps than that who are down for some funky times on a Thurs night!

So just so no one misses the boat next time ("OH MY GOD!!! WHERE IS THE BOAT????") I give 5 thumbs up to the Kiwi vibe and def recommend checking out her next party!  And next week at Honey, they are bringing in Lance DeSardi, JT Donaldson, and the East Coast Boogiemen.  Can I get a WOOO-HA?

And, of course, we invite any other nice people that were at home in bed and I didnt meet last night to come PLAY with us next Wed at Club Lush in Santa Monica.
