[Dynagroove] Weekend Review

OK well no one sems to want to talk about the weekend I hope that is not a
bad thing.

Friday at Free Thinking the Vinyltribe guys tore it up.  Again we have a
late crowd.  Emi warmed it up with a surprising bang.  Zack came on a
played the same record over and over..  I did not know that Salt N Peppa's
"Lets Talk about sex" was such a hit 20 times in a row!  Just kinnding
zack got on and played a dope set.. played some funky chunkie stuff that I
am into.. By his set we had a good crowd and the place was hopping.  I had
a couple people tell me it was one of the best nites yet.  Basskick came
on and went out with a bang.  By the time he hit the decks we were at
capacity and the patio was packed with dancers... Paio you say?  yes
indeed the patio!  We now have room to dance outside thatnks to a
reorganization of the patio.  Thanks to the open mind guys for tearing it
up out there!!!!!!!!  A very fun filled friday night.

saturday.. oh saturdy... I must say this was probably the hardest set up I
have ever done.  We had little to no cooperation with from the venue..
countless sound problems and to top it all off Hakan did not have the
european to american plug converters for his equipment.  And to top
that half way through louis's set one of the turntables went out!!  Well
not completly out but just went to one channel and the drive started to
speed up and slow down, makes it very difficult to mix....  By 12:30 the
sound issues were worked out and a new turntable had arrived... I luckly
got to play like 5 records and had a good time.. It was needed because I
was stressed and it got me to loosen up..   Hakan came on with only 2/3 of
his equipment.  It was a cool show that involved gameboys and other
toys...  Very unique to say the least.. People who were into hakan were
definately having a blast but I think it may have been a little too hard
or weird for some of the house heads.  heather came on...  one word...
Bang...  another word... banging.  she was relentless.  She banged till
5:45 non stop.. It did not let up!  I thought it was a good set a little
fast for me but in the middle I got some good dancing in...  I hope others
had some fun too...

So next up is Tune In July 20th...  hope to see you all there...
