 A few words on man that defies any bio...

   This Brooklyn ,New York native landed his first
"professional DJ gig at Manhattan's posh club El
Morocco in 1975. (before some of us were born)
In July 1981, producer Shep Pettibone asked Tony for a
tape to fill in for a no show on his NY radio show.A
vancancy by Pettibone at the station opened the door
for his now legendary mix show on KISS-FM New York
that featured his trademark garage style along with
other obscure house and leftfield tunes.
  Simultaneously,gaining residency ,at now one of
House music most influential nights, Zanzibar.
This club, proved to be monumental in the upbringing
of house music's next generation.
Kerri Chandler,Blaze,Louie Vega and Romanthony and
others have all named Tony Humphries and club Zanzibar
as a major influence in their careers.
  Developing his creative experience through
production only enhanced his style and magic.
Artist like Mtume (Tony's first gold record was Juicy
Fruit), Chaka Khan,Donna Summer,Talkin Heads & even
Janet Jackson were all branded by Humphries personal
touch.
  By November 1990.his 8 year residency at Zanzibar
tearfully came to an end,but this didn't discourage
Tony as he became in demand worldwide and relocated to
London taking up residency at London's Ministry of
Sound and Echoes in Rimini, Italy,making jim one of
the first US jocks with international residencies.The
Italian residency continued 4 years as he migrated
back and fourth to New Jersey to launch his now
internationally recognized label YellOrange.
   It can be said that Tony Humphries has left an
uneraseable impression on the global dance music
industry.To date,over 3000 venues have hosted this
legend.Throughout tremendous recognition,tons of
awards and accolades from his peers,he has remained
humble.

me and my boy have been spinning for nearly a decade
but fail to get booked properly cuz we dont  promote
ourselves by passing out cd's that limit the vast
array of styles possesed.Instead we have built a loyal
following in our hometown that like how we do. We have
been known to lay it down at our previous
dreamgarden's and at our other events (the Life
parties of 99-00,and the ImperialDub party LA back in
98)

we got a lavish dance spot in downtown thats properly
laced with wooden floors and AC.
