I think this is a good idea) although it's unfortunate that it has to be
like this).  I use a unique address for this list (that's not used for
anything else), and I have received a good amount of spam directly to
this address.

That sounds like a good idea - it would definitely be helpful if people
would sign posts with their name and / or putting their name in their
sig (and posting some form of contact address if they want an off-list
response).  It's always good to use a throwaway account for this if
you're concerned about getting spam.  Cade - you might also want to set
the 'Obscure Addresses' option in the mailman config if you didn't
already.

It would be nice if the realname field from the original address could
still be passed through, since it will be hard to keep track of who is
who in discussions... however it doesn't appear that there's an option
to do this.
