Freethinking was fun as hell Friday. Maybe I drank more than usual but it seemed like everything was just extra great. The extra space there is so much better now.
On Saturday me and my girl went to the Palace for Homies Do Play That. Having to go to a mappoint in Hollywood and then drive downtown sucked. And paying $20 each sucked to. Oh ya and $10 for parking to!!!! By the time we got there I was already in a bad mood. But I have to give credit. The place was pretty cool. Probably would have been better if there was more people. We heard Louis who I really like at Freethinking. Went downstairs and heard Jesse Brooks. He was banging but the room was a little better even though it was the second room. I guess there was more people so more energy. Then people started leaving the second room really quick. It was weird but then someone told us it was cause Scot K just got on in the main room. So we went there and in maybe a few minutes the whole main floor was packed. I have to give credit cause he really got everyone going. The whole crowd stayed packed and dancing hard when he was there. So credit to him. After him there was a guy I never heard. My girlfriends friend said it was a guy from KCRW. I liked the first song he played alot and then I heard that wicked lazy song and it was just too mellow so we went back to the small room. Sorry I don't know the name of the guy playing but he was good. Soul from Bodyrock came on later in the small room and he was on point. He played really well and the crowd was small so the enrgy was low but he still played like he loved it so we had fun. We got reaally tired so we left before he finished. I went to the party in a bad mood and have to say it was pretty good. If more people went probably it would have been a great night.
Sunday was Mark Farina of course. That guy is magic. But lately when I see him he doesn't do much. But at deep he played some really great tracks. And the place was so crowded so that makes the energy better to. We stayed until the very last song. It was the best time I've had seeing Farina.
Peace,
Danny
