Vince:  thanks for the Herbert tip....I'm gonna try to find that album.

People that commented on Homies party:  Thanks for the compliments....I had a 
really good time there....all of the DJ's really got down.  My sincere 
apologies to Louis FS....I made the needle jump twice while he was playing 
(small booth, sensitive tables) - thanks for not getting pissed at me....I 
got payed back though (people made my needles jump three different times - 
and twice during an actual mix)  = )   all good - the night was fun.  I 
didn't get to hear all of the DJ's but Louis was definitely getting down when 
I got there...later I stepped out for a quick second to get some air and 
heard Kenji rockin Rapper's Delight in the smoking patio.....doesn't get any 
better than that.  Oh ya, and Soul closing out the night with....damn what 
was it?.....Van Morrison I think.....missed Cade and Casey but heard they 
both rocked it....(I guess I could've assumed this anyway...I mean have they 
ever NOT rocked it?)  Oh ya, and Raul Campos.....smooth as hell - if you guys 
haven't heard his KCRW radio show, trust, check it (Saturdays 9-11pm on 
89.9FM ).  He also fills in for Jason Bently alot on Metropolis (weeknights 
7:30-10pm).  Tony Watson came on after Raul and laid down some seriosuly dope 
beats...it was 4am and most of the crowd had already left so he went 
appropriately mellow....perfect tunes to come down to.  

Coachella definitely hurt the night, but overall it was a good party.  The 
promoters had great intentions....bringing together all those different crews 
for a night was a great concept.  I know that financially they risked a lot 
of money to get all of those great DJ's....hopefully they'll try it again in 
the future.  If they do, try to support....and in case you didn't know, the 
promoters included Fresco (the clothing company).....check out their site 
(still being improved but functional for now) to see some of their "house" 
gear: www.frescogear.com.  [I have nothing to do with Fresco....just trying 
to support some local promoters]

Don't forget Organic Soul at VooDoo tonight (Crenshaw & Olympic in LA)

Diggin LA's scene more and more everyday.
