I'm typing this while popping multi-vitamins to recover after Saturday's fun Designforms party. Thanks to Jonra for inviting me to come down and break in the soundsystem! If the way people respond to music at this party is anything to go by (screaming, dancing, sweating) I DEFINITELY look forward to playing in this city more often! The Designforms party had a cool, comfortable venue, good sound, cheap beer, and zero bullshit. 

TONIGHT AT THE DERBY we're doing something really special. Rithma's (Om Records, Tweekin) playing for the first time since his much-celebrated return from gigging in eastern europe (toes hopefully intact and frost-bite free), Scott Findley (Nordic Trax, Terraform) is gonna pick things up as well (be sure and ask him for a copy of his new mix CD, because it's f'n killer) and...... here's the hook........

Starting at 10pm, for 90 minutes DJs Alland (Deepergroove, Alluv Recordings) and I (uhm, This is Music, :\Run Recordings) will be locked in a cage onstage to battle it out, tongue 'n' groove, on the fiery wheels of steel. There will be breakdowns, beatings, and maybe scratching (though it should be a clean fight). Only one victor will emerge unscathed; there will be house music.
