yup it sure was. starting with honey on halloween. congrats to dan of NICE people for his honey debut. he held it down quite well in spite of having to work with a mixer made by LEGO. ;) jonene got stuck in traffic but breezed in and got to WORK. i enjoyed a lot of his set. it was nice to hear the new lawnchair generals track again. upstairs was...i can't remember their names but they were solid! they dropped scoper and bubba's 'i'm satisfied.' that track makes me laugh. 'she had purple ponytails...and neon sneaks' heheeh. so not only was it a solid night of music, but the decor looked fabulous and it was fun to see all the unoriginal costumes hehe. was there ever a costume contest? did i miss it? thanks to shaunna again it was a great night.
friday night i planned on going to FT and then swayzack but ended up feelin home-y so stayed home. did anyone go to swayzack how was it?
saturday night i was going to try to hit designforms and then over to metro area, but decided to just stick with one event and chose metro. it was at mobius and the black paint sure has improved it's look. li'l chris sounded great--i don't think i've heard him out before. i thought dj harvey would be next but it turned out that metro area played after chris. they played a set of 80s electro and it was fun! then harvey went on but we had decided to retire. then while sitting in the car we saw 3 cop cars pull up and knew the party would be ending early.
sunday night was a good night at deep. it was great to hear see the deep support team of big c, slick dada, and frank take the mainstage. each one brought his own flavor to the floor and they got a lot of support from the crowd. good job guys keep it up. alton miller was a great performer. he had so much fun up there and i always like to see that. i was chillin on the side of the stage at one point, doing my singing thing, and he turns to me and sings along with the track he was playin...i turned to scott k and said..did he just tell me to shut up? and scott was like, you dork--he was singing back to you! lol.
last night--twister at the derby--tech tech and more tech! i missed aaron and alland's set, but heard they played well and very tech-y. i got there about 20 min into scott findley's set and i tell you what he was playing the sounds that i LOVE. it was house but it had that nice edge that helps me MOVE--sometimes i just need the beat to hit me over the head a bit. then rithma got up there, starting with lickshots. later he dropped that marshall jefferson track. (the one talking about a certain FUNgus) it's great to have him back indeed. scott and etienne--it was great to meet you and thanks for the cd scott!
scott's cd is great but that's the extent of my review of it for now. ;)
lots of great stuff going on this week. it might just be a six day weekend for me.

ps: please don't forget to vote today guys. i used to not vote because i felt that my people would never win anyway but i think this one is really important. even if the people i vote for have no chance of winning, more votes for them encourage them to keep fighting and also send a message to the bigwigs that we won't tolerate them anymore.
