WELL SAID.  LA has NEVER really recognized Detroit on full scale...most of the 
Detroit DJs are STARS internationally and on the eastern side of the country, 
but few have EVER been booked for LA, and when they do (as Jonra points out) no 
one comes...

I love the way Jonra calles it "Detroit TECHNO/HOUSE"  Concerning the music 
that is generally played at parties Detroit, most of it fits into a VERY "gray 
area" between the two... those of you who think you don't like techno might 
find yourselves VERY surprised at what you hear...it's not all soulless and 
robotic...

And while we're on the topic of undervalued Detroit music, how about booking 
some of the AMAZING Detroit ELECTRO/BOOTY dudes???

Aux 88 anybody??????  THEY are the REAL detroit deal!!!
