At the last minute, I decided to make the trek up from OC to attend poison.  
I'm from Chicago, so Mark Grant is a name that i trust for quality music.  I 
was the chica in a very short tank dress with purple and white flowers - i 
was up dancin by the left speaker (in case anyone else was there)

anyhoo - i LOVED TL Smith - I guess Greyboy didn't show and this guy had the 
awesomest combo of cool tracks playin.  i asked somebody in the know and he 
said that it was electro and i really liked the breaks.

mark grant came on and started with my least favorite kind of house.  see 
maybe the problem is that i only kinda like house.  my favorite kind is 
"booty" house (dj funk, etc) or like green velvet, or geez, i dont really 
know who.  but "jazzy" house doesnt really do it for me [i'm not criticizing 
anyone who likes that kind of house, it just doesnt flip my switch is all] 
but his set got better towards the end.  i left before two for the long trek 
back home and am definitely sore today from cutting the rug!

there were lots of great dancers, but it wasnt so crowded that there wasnt 
any room to express yourself, plus the free parking helped.  all in all, it 
was great and im glad i went!!
