IMHO I think it is just that the scene has TOO many parties instead of a
few GOOD ones. And I don't mean the music is lo-quality or the talent,
it is just that we are seeing too much of it. I went to a club on Sat
and I was treated like shiat at the door and I wish I could say the
chicks name (you have seen her work the door at a SUPER club) who said
my name was not on the list, after waiting around I looked down and my
name WAS there. No apologies at all, and I still had to pay the full
price.
Also, once you've gone to every club it all seems repetitive
unfortunately. People are interested in change so if you have something
another club doesn't, everyone goes out.
I am definitely down for a great deep house massive, all promoter heads
should get together and do this, attract newbies. Who cares about it not
feeling underground for a bit, as long as you attract the right folks,
they are more likely to attend a smaller party later. So many people in
my area haven't even heard a deep house song, but when they do, they
love it. They don't understand why we feel the love and respect for the
Djs, but now I CANNOT even keep track of the massive djs there are out
there.
Promoters should try and get together and form awesome parties together.
I am sure you will make more cash.
Also, OUTDOOR PARTIES!!! Drums, the moon, campfires all sound like fun.
Those were my two cents..
