As previously stated by Cade, I really think that our scene is taking 
a hit by the Economy.
So many people I know have been laid as of recent. And with the 
pending war with Iraq
looming over our shoulders, I don't think things will get much better 
if Bush calls for a
preemptive strike.

This coupled with the fact that every Euro-Trance and Prog House DJ 
God are charging
a stupid amount of money for a booking in states, has really 
shell-shocked the clubbing
community. American DJs should take president during these time and 
I'm glad to see
  that the House community has held so strongly to their roots.

So many other thing factor in as well. Such as the DEA crackdown and 
lack of great music,
due to the over abundance of crappy tracks coming out. All in all, 
things are at an all time
  low that.  I haven't seen such a drop since the rave scene fell back 
into the underground in 95'.
