it's all of it. people are broke, getting older. every event is a not
miss? people aren't very educated and maybe don't understand
what it is they're listening to yet. i think l.a. promoters need to get
together and share some ideas and solutions. times are tough and
things do ebb and flow. promoters should really consider
combining events, although i know this is extremely difficult
considering everyone is trying to get there ideas across. but maybe
an event with two or three rooms with different styles of house and
some downtempo or even a live act would shake things up.
perhaps have a different promoter hosting the different rooms. i
know all of this is hard to do, but things need to get mixed up, new
locations dug up. l.a. is real fickle and flakey. i know part of the
problem is the money dj's are asking for. $20 to see farina play now,
when a few years ago you could two or three name djs for the same
price. that's a reason to have events with headliners and locals so
our own can get exposure to those who wouldn't normally go. blah,
blah, blah. i could on, but won't. peace...... the struggle continues.
