Too many nights, free parties, economy, etc. Personally, I don't get that
feeling that I used to get before I went out. Where you didn't know where
the event was going to take place, or how the set up was going to be,
surprise DJ's & such. If we are forced to attend the same venue, why don't
promoters change it up every week? For instance take the GREAT Larry Levan @
the Paradise Garage, every week it was a different theme, speakers were set
up differently, and a whole different setting was created. They packed that
place every week till it closed it doors. Same place, different setting. Or
how about making it a speakeasy vibe, where you have to know a password?
Have a different theme or color you have to wear every week. Send a text
message to peoples mobile phones & if they got it they get in free. Give it
a membership feel, and it will in turn make the people feel like they belong
to something. Therefore, the peeps that aren't, will want to be involved &
it will gain momentum after time. We need to get creative with it and I know
there is plenty of this in LA. Take care,
 Cheyne*
