i think i already reviewed honey last week but i'll say it again---a great time indeed--i'm looking forward to this week but i really hope it's not too packed with silly girls. ;)

friday i really meant to go to mobius but my disco nap ended up going until 2:45am dang.

but that meant i was well-rested for saturday's festivities. earthdance was a nice time. twenty twelve--these guys are on it. great sounds and excellent musicianship. i was very happy to see them, and i'm definitely looking forward to their next performance! bodyrock boys--i finally got to see them do their thing all together. again, a great performance. i heard several moulton studios tracks and then an old klassic from whatever-year-it-was...woooooo! that got me right up by the speaker for a bit. thanks for the cd marcus--i likes it. a nice change of pace. :)

saturday night i hit up showcase. their security really need to work on their people skills. i still enjoyed seeing collette, gene farris, and cade and the VT boys in the upstairs room. it's too bad people didn't come out for this show--the emptiness was a bit disheartening. madison avenue was blah and it sort of killed things for gene. i think it would have been better to have gene go on after collette.

sunday night well that was louie vega at deep. it was my first time seeing him and i was really impressed. i think his eq was the best i've seen--he's a true musician.

last night i stopped in to the derby again. i missed cee's set b/c i thought he'd play at 11. after hearing the set by...(sorry boz, i forgot his name) the dude from seattle, i thought that cee would have been more suited to that time slot. this dj picked great tracks, but his programming was all over the place. groove junkies were fun--i really loved all the vocals. i must have been spoiled from witnessing louie's eq talents the night before though, b/c theo tried, but didn't seem to nail it as well. ;) overall, they were great--i was so inspired i had to run home to work on my own music. :) i left at 12:45 which is way early for me. by the way, a NICE crowd at the derby last night--the most people i've seen there but i've only been 3 times.

there ya have it. see you this thursday to start it all again.
