house is everywhere, even in seattle...  The company I
work for thought it would be a good idea for me go to
seattle to visit customers, I thought an even better
use of company time would be to visit record stores &
possible house venues ;)  Thanks to the good 'ol
internet i found my way to Platinum records on
broadway & pike, to my surprise they had a great
selction of the tracks that you always find are
sold-out here in LA; seasons, paper, igloo, &
Viva(actually form seattle).  I even picked up the
first track from Extract (viva's sublabel) CHECK OUT
THIS ONE DOPE!!!  

The people working the shop were pretty helpful even
though they had some odd dislike for Joshua 'IZ',
saying he gets too drunk when he plays out there.  I
had to let 'em know that out here, the man is BOMB!  

Wednesday night 9/4 checked out the Baltic Room, cool
venue, great if you like jungle Stareyes was playin
that night.  Too bad I'm not really into jungle.  

My lastnight there went to the opening night of an
event called Rotate w/Miss Honey Dijon from the NYC. 
she was playin a bringin out the hits set, (but what
would you expect for a Seattle crowd) although the
woman knew how to use her DJM-600.  Using the trans,
flanger, & loop features like the pro she is... WOW. 
She made it fun to hear Xpress2 "lazy" again, twice
laid down a layered acapella of Outkast "The whole
world loves it when you make that sound...", & even
some remixed miss-e elliot.  I'd love to see her in LA
w/some not so known tracks.  Oh, and the people cant
dance, but they are nice & sociable househeads.
