[Dynagroove] ReviewS???????

It was difficult to choose an event last Saturday with all the things that
were going on.  I decided to check out "Get Perlonized" with Sammy Dee from
Pantytec for two reasons.... Sammy Dee is from Germany and rarely plays in
LA and Pantytec is reponsible for some of the most unbelievable minimal
tech-funk I have ever heard. HUGE props to the Futurehouse crew for bringing
him in!

 The party was held in the back of the building that houses the Grand Avenue
club..... a great, intimate space with minimal lighting (to match the
minimal sounds).  Sound was fantastic..... well-tuned, loud and crystal
clear.  I arrived for the in time to hear the last hour or Liilyanne's
set.... she kept it dubby and deep the entire time..... a perfect intro for
Jan D.  Nice work, Lillyanne!  I caught Jan D for about an hour..... she
initially picked it up a bit with some great deep, Detroit tech-house and
techno.... but just as she was getting going, so dropped it back down again
and lost quite a bit of energy.  Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to keep me
interested long enough to stay for Sammy Dee, who didn't go on until 2.  I'm
sure he rocked it...... Anyone get to hear him?

There were probably between 30 and 50 people there the entire time I was
there...  I think the overwhelming number of choices on Saturday night hurt
everyone's numbers.  I had fun anyway though.  I give Lillyanne and
Futurehouse huge props for bringing in some much-needed, eclectic talent to
LA!
