hahaha this is so funny cuz i just said to lucas last night that i bet
people think i meant that the only "special" guests are mark farina and
heather...

no way!

that is not what i meant at all...what i was meaning was that cade had
really done his number on trying to *allude*, two weeks in a row, that
heather was playing ft and that mark farina (or someone who happened to be
in town from sf, that had played stompy before) was playing stompy...

he actually wrote emails that said stuff like..."you may have seen her last
week at king king" after heather played...

and ANYWAYS...i know what he meant, and i really did think heather was
playing that night, and i think she actually was supposed to...

sharon buck is dope. she's very special in her own right...cade had a clever
scheme...and all was well...i was just saying that it must be hard as a dj
to follow that kind of hype if you *aren't* mark farina...and why lead
people to believe such when your party is ALREADY dope and so is your
special guest...ya dig me?

but funny that you mention it, cuz i was seriously just thinking of it last
night...

and i wanted to clarify.

no i dont mean that the only good dj's in the world worth special mention
are mr farina and heather...

of course not.

Yo kids just a little something on the surprise guest thing here. Sharron is
a really good friend of mine and she has played at Stompy a few times up in
the Bay Area. We were happy to include her into the line up and have her
throw down with us. This is not directed towards anybody, but I may be
reading into this the wrong way, but it is to say that people would only be
excited if it were Mark Farina or Heather? Stompy has always strived to
have the best talent through its doors. I would hope that people would want
to come check out Stompy for its history and what it has done to help shape
the west coast house scene for the past 10 years. I believe the "special
guest' was far from over the top. Anybody who has been asked to play or is
going to play Stompy, is that he or she has the gift and talent to rock a
floor. Everyone is special in their own unique way and that is why Stompy
has known for its DJs and guest DJs.

Has the scene come to the place where no one will go out unless Mark Farina
or Heather is playing? If so, we should all just throw in the towel and
call it quits. There is more to parties then Mark Farina and Heather. NOW,
don't get me wrong here, both Heather and Mark are good friends of mine and
are extremely talented and love listening to them as well. But, there is
plenty of talent on the west coast to keep things alive. All parties need
the same amount of hype and enthusiasm to keep the wheels turning. I
believe if we, Stompy, put "special guest" on the flyer, we have the
confidence that this person is worthy enough to claim as our guest. Sharron
was added late in the line up, so I didn't see any problem of adding her as
a "SG" People should be excited about this and not try to look so far into
it as " is it Mark Farina or Heather? NO, ahh that sucks then, im not
going."

Stompy is about letting down barriers and opening your mind to house music.
Learning, listening and enjoying! we have been doing something right for
the past 10 years, give us a bit of credit.

Don't let the little things get you down and get in your way . .

Enjoy the music!
