I don't usualy post but I just had to write about tonight.  Went to Sweet
Thing II and it was just one of those nights that makes for a great
story.  Didn't get there till about 11:30.  Went in the smaller room and
caught about half an hour of Colette set, she was playin some faster
deeper stuf than I typicaly see her throw down, and I was lovin' it.
About midnight went over to catch the man himself Derrick Carter but he
wasn't on yet, caught the last of good ol' Mr. Wyatt, I seem to find that
he continualy progresses through his set.  I don't usualy care where he
starts off at but I am diggin him by the end of the set.  When he is
gettin ya worked up someone else's set he always gets ya there no matter
who he is.  Sweet Thing 1 for example I remember hereing playing track s
that I had heard on previous Miggs mixes like Nude Dimensions, and by the
time Miguel Migs stepped  up the crowd  al ready loud and sweaty.  Well
tonight was no different the crowd was yelling and going nuts, good vibes
for all.  And then there was the legend himself, Derrick Carter, and he
stepped up and brought things up another notch.  But when it comes to
making a good night great there are always other details too, like I
found the spot in the middle of the dancefloor where the air conditioning
was just  pouring down from the ceiling, so for the last  2 hours and
felt like and was dancing under a cool nights breeze.  The people always
make the night as well, the good and the bad.  For example the girl who
also found the air conditioning,  although not dancing stood in the
middle of the dancefloor and alway seemed to be in the perfect spot under
the air conditioning, but was taking up vaulable dance space.  Of course
she did eventualy leave when she spills her drink on the floor, again
right in the middle of prime dance floor space right und er the air
conditioning.  But you don't leave the area even though the floor is now
REALLY wet, cuz you are in a really great spot, you just hope you don't
end up falling on your ass  with this nice wet floor.  Well just before
the night is over I do fall on the nice wet floor because the music is so
great that I do fall to the floor, because I have forgotten about the
floor being slippery because I am dancing like a mad woman the the
awesome music that our man Derrick Carter is throwing our way.  As I am
still falling to the  floor several neighboring hands are already
reaching out to help me up and make sure I am okay as we laugh about how
killer this track is.  I found quite a few heads out there on the floor
that were damn kewl and made you feel like you were at the Taco Stand
instead a large Hollywood club.  Now the brilliant thing about the
location of the Circus is its proximity to a 7/11 cua I don't know and
bout but after a few hours and dancing  nothing is better than slurpee,
except maybe and slurrpee and a phat bowl to smoke.  So we go and get a
slurpee, I am a fan of mixing the cherry and coke flavors, and even there
in the 7/11 you continue to meet kewl ass people.  And walking back the
the car we see a tranny hooker picking up some guy.  What a great night
in Hollyweird.  Finaly as we drive home if the night wasn't already great
enough, Rithma's Music Fiction cd was in the car to take us home.  Those
of you who have not heard it yet, you are missing out and need to get on
that.  What a night!  Oh yeah and did a mention that when Derrick Carter
stopped playing the crowd was going crazy yelling, screaming, clapping,
Beggin' for just one more song.  And we were at this for several
minutes.  Finally Colette came up and he used her mic to say somethingto
us, maybe explain why he wasn't gonna play again, I couldn't hear what he
actualy said b ecause people were screamin, so if anyone knows I would
lvoe to hear it.  So anyway that was more of a ramble than a review, but
that night was just such a great story.
