IMHO, it's easier said than done. Although a fine idea, and I hate to be
pesimistic, but only a handful of people would want to get involved in a
collaboration like this. Others just want the work handled by the pro's (I
use that word lightly) so that they can go out and dance and have fun
without worrying about the semantics of the event. Also, I think this year
has pulled me into the house scene more than ever, so I would have to
dissagree with 'deadest' comment you made-- don't take that as a flame to
you personally becasue clearly you may have been expecting more out of the
scene.
The word is out, promoters are trying there best to get good names out here
without going over budget. Don't forget, this is Los Angeles. House music is
still pretty new here. Faith and time my friend-- just like any good thing.
