Hello everyone,

Just another reminder that on Saturday, February 22nd (next Saturday),
Poetry In Motion Recordings will be hosting the first installation of its
monthly events simply entitled Poetry In Motion. At this time we have 5
poets/spoken word artists that will be performing their own pieces in the
Jazz Lounge. We now have 4 spaces open for anyone that would like to share
their own work. Info line for that is at the bottom of this email. Also,
there are 3 rooms, but capacity is pretty low at about 300 so if you plan on
going, get there as early as possible.

Room 1 House Music
Just your basic house vibe with a couple of quality DJ¹s
Jamie Thinnes of Seasons Recordings
Brandon Anthony
Mark Sanchez

Room 2 Jazz Lounge
This room will be just that. A small, plush environment featuring a couple
of spoken word/poetry artists, a brush drum kit played by drummer Steve
Thibodeaux, a guitar player Luis Hayes, turtablist A-Ron (regional DMC
finalist last year) and an open mic for anyone that wants to share their own
spoken word or poetry pieces. Poetry In Motion Recording¹s very own
vocalist - Raquel, will host this area.

Room 3 Creation Room
This will be the room in which we let our guests get involved with the music
and art themselves. There will be a drumming circle going on all night long
that everyone is welcome to join. Various congas, bongos and other
percussion instruments will be provided but feel free to bring your own as
well. Also in this room we will supply various art supplies (paint, clay,
brushes, canvas etc.) to express yourself artistically if the environment
inspires you to do so. Other professional artists will be present as well
to assist with the creative process.

This event is open for anyone who desires to enjoy quality music and express
themselves through the arts. There will be a full bar for 21+, and
admission is only $5. It will go from about 10:00 pm to 4:00 am. The event
will be located in the artist district in Downtown Los Angeles (new venue)
and capacity is somewhat thin at 300 people (so if you plan on going, get
there early).

For more information on this event or if you would like to share your poetry
or spoken word pieces, please call 310-624-0078.
