Moving Units and The Rapture aren't just punk tho - they are both
influenced by punk rock, but their music is most definitely not
straight-up punk rock. Their sounds draw from disco, house, electro, and
punk. "House of Jealous Lovers" was remixed by Morgan Geist (on a DFA
single).
While I'm not a big fan of most punk rock, I don't think it's fair to
say that its abrasive sound makes it "negative". Both The Rapture and
Moving Units are very fun, poppy, and danceable bands... Definitely not
house music per se, but I imagine a good number of people on this list
would enjoy the music at this show.
