Here's what's HOT this week
Needs - Lost Tracks Vol. 1 - Super limited release on the ultra deep house Needs label. This one has been getting hammered by Doc Martin for some time, as Doc said... "this one absolutely destroyed New Years". Piano driven, percussive house, super dope! Limited release, and WAX is on it! Get 'em while you can.

Telle/Norway - A slew of never before seen Norwegian releases (on the West Coast and most of America) are scheduled to be here at the end of this week, or early next week. Limited, first come, first served! Something for everyone, from house, techno, electro, 10", LP's, 12", etc... it's in there!

Techno/Tech House/Detroit, Underground Resistance - Expected late in the week is 2 shipments from Detroit and another from the east coast of some quality techno and tech house. Should appeal to all the tech heads out there... don't sleep on this stuff.

Muthspiel - In The Mood For Love - Jeremiah production, super deep tech styled house music, with a lovely guitar laid on top. Jeremiah is one of our favorites, get this record, it's amazing!

Mikel Underground - Treintayocho - Juan says..."It's house!". This one is amazing! Check out the deep mix for a slice of deep house madness, long track, subtle drums, live instruments....sexy!

Uusi Fantasia - Takaisin - Oh my god!!! Limited 10" release on the Telle label from Norway. We got a few this week and more coming next week. For the left field minded aficionado. DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS ONE, MAD LIMITED! WAX TOP PICK!!!

Overtone - Big Mutha - George T. comes with an Idjut Boys styled remix, should appeal to the upbeat house heads along with the Harvey/Idjut/Noid fans out there... limited pre-release, WAX has got it!

Frank Roger & DJ Deep - In & Out Project - We have been waiting for some time to get this one back in, finally. Rhodes/piano driven deep house, 4 quality tracks, all different, some deep, some upbeat...a little something for everyone!

Script Kiddies - Ether - Funky house done in a Idjut spacey style. You know how we love that sound, definitely one for the heads.

Joakim - Are You Vegetarian - Deep, techy, 80's sounding release on the Versatile label out of France. A favorite at the shop, finally gets released. WAX PICK!

WAX 2003 SCHEDULE
Sat. March 1st - "WAX Record Release Party", ELECTRIC CHAIR w/ Special guests, THE UNABOMBERS, production duo responsible for the Electric Souls 12" series, and the recent "Saturday Night, Sunday Morning" and "Electric Chair" compilations which sold soooo well @ WAX. They host a regular night in the UK in which guests have included Maurice Fulton, Harvey and most recently the Theo Parrish vs. Unabombers night! Expect a wide range of music, from hip-hop to house... Doc Martin says "These guys are DOPE!", Harvey says "Bring these guys out and get 'em on the mic!" Very excited to have them at WAX for their first US appearance, get ready for some UK madness!

Sat. March 15th - MAURICE FULTON (Nuphonic, UK), It's the return of the man with the walkman headphones, playing everything under the sun. If you missed the last one, ask someone who was there. Definitely one of our favorite nights in 2002, we are excited to have him back @ WAX... don't miss it!

Sat. March 29th - Disco Adventure (Late Night, 'til 6am!) w/ Special Guest DJ HARVEY. The man behind the WAX Classics returns to the WAX Party for the first time in 6 months. Get ready for a late night session with Mr. Black Cock himself.

Coming in April... WAX 4 YEAR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION, all month long!!
