Rithma is the musical work of Etienne Stehelin, a lively spirit from Topanga Canyon, a small community in the hills just north of Los Angeles, California.  Etienne has been producing for four years now and having developed a taste for all things tech and house, has recently found a style he'd like to call his own. Since his first release w/ Scott Findley on Fiji Recordings in 1998, Etienne has signed and released material on Tweekin (SF), Terraform (Denver), Beau Monde (UK), RYZMS (France) and most recently Om Records (www.omrecords.com), where he has found his home.


"Stereo Dryer" on Om Lounge Vol. 7 marks the 6th release for Rithma on an Om compilation and precedes the Spring 2003 release of his full length debut album on Om Records.  From downtempo to tech-house, Rithma's stellar production and musical diversity has shown music lovers and industry professionals alike not only that he makes damn fine music but also that he's only just begun to show us what he can do. Likewise, if you've ever been lucky enough to hear him on the decks then you know he brings a whole new meaning to the word deejay - combining amazing talent, impeccable taste, eclectic programming and flawless mixing, Rithma never fails to make you sweat and always delivers one hell of a show.  

Home is very excited to welcome Rithma to the Om Lounge 7 Record Release Party on Saturday, January 25th, 2003 @ King-King.  Come join us in celebrating the release of the 7th and final volume of this trend-setting series which includes many new and previously unreleased tracks from proven tastemakers & newcomers serving up sexy, funky beats, beautiful vocals and soulful melodies.
