A great weekend for me! To bad I have to work on MLK. But I am not
complaining. Friday was great the KCRW guys tore up the floor and the
patio rocked like it was 1989! A great crowd and a thank you goes out to
all the DJs who helped make Free Thinkin go off as well as it did.
Saturday I had this overwelming feeling of messing something up. I felt
like I had to do something but I could not figure out what it was. In
actuality I had all my bases covered so well that was better off then I
normally am. The doors opened at about 10:10 and off the event went. I
played like shit. for some reason I was having some trouble. It was not
untill the last 30 minutes did I actually settle into my groove. And then
it was time for jamie to come on. Jamie to me is one of the smoothest
transparent mixers I know. He normally plays super deep and sexy but I
have been trying to give him a better slot. Now he is bringing out the
bang. He played great and had the crowd set up for lance and diz. Lance
stepped up and went to a little harder techie sound that was rocking
pretty good. Before he went on he told me "I hope I am not too drunk to
play" ahahah... he came ready to party. His set was clean and very
banging. Diz stepped up and tore the floor up. the begining of his set
was so dope! as the crowd thinned out he started to drop a lot of new
stuff that he had not gotten to play out before. He e was having fun and
by the time 5 AM came around he did not want to get off! Over all I had a
great time with limited drama. I think the fact that I had such a strong
door crew helped. Thanks Zoki, Sara, and Jenna Jameson! You guys made
the night a lot easier on me.
So does anyone have anything to say about the Diz CD? Personally I think
it rocks! Am I just being biased?
Well the next dynagroove will probably be in april! Till then look
forward to the return of Solid Gold on March 22!
