those of you who DJ might have picked up a record by Mattski last year
on Pure Recordings.
this is absolutely one of my favorite records of last year, if not of
the last few years.
definately snag that... it's called Music From the Streets.

BIO::
Mattski is a true house veteran. He has earned a reputation for being a
respected and skilled dj who has been playing soul, disco and funk
records since the age of 8. An underground dj and producer for the last
20 years to his credit. Mattski credits all his skills to originals such
as Ron Hardy, Grandmaster Flash and Frankie Knuckles. 

     Mattski started playing at clubs and fashion shows in San Francisco
back in the early 80’s. He then decided to start producing hip-hop
records in 1986, being deeply influenced by Mantronix. But Mattski
always kept his love and understanding for disco and what it meant to
the underground dance culture. He started producing house music shortly
afterward. He became influenced by the New York,New Jersey and Chicago
house music movement. Mattski respected such producers as Blaze, Todd
Terry,Nature Boy and Ron Hardy.

     Mattski is now keeping busy with production with releases for Pure
Recordings, Church St. Records, and Trax Café. He also keeps the ears of
the Bay Area tuned into quality house music with his weekly radio show
called Late Night Sessions on KSCU 103.3 FM . With 20 years experience
of dance floor experience, Mattski knows how to make the dance floor
move. His style of uplifting, funky and soulful music will teach your
mind, body and soul about real house motherfuckin music.
